Thai Massage: A Brief History
The origins of Thai massage are shrouded in obscurity. Over the years, many of its documents have been lost. Traditions of Thai massage may have been transmitted orally for generations. At least 2,500 years ago, many historians believe it began. They credit an Indian doctor named Shivago Komarpaj, also known as Jivaka Buccha Komar, with the idea's inception. He's renowned as "Father Doctor" all around Asia.
Shivago Komarpaj was one of Buddha's disciples. He promoted traditional medicine across southern Asia. Thai massage has evolved into a prominent holistic health system that incorporates elements of yoga, Ayurveda, as well as Chinese medicine as a result of outside influences.
Thai Massage: How It Works?
The Chinese medicine and the philosophy behind acupressure say that we all possess meridian lines in our bodies. Along these lines, which are also called Sen lines, are acupressure points. Acupressure aims to improve the body's strength flow by applying pressure to certain acupressure spots. Qi or Chi is the name given to this life force.
